Observation:
The long-awaited new product from Viktor Mikhailovich. Great vigor and high yield. According to first impressions, the form is early-medium ripening, more precisely I will say in 2024.
Of all the dark-colored forms of Kalugin, Pompeii stands out for its huge berries and high taste. The flower is bisexual. A bunch weighing 700-1200 g. The author promises berries up to 30 g. At the 2023 grafting, the berry turned out to be 20-22 g, impressive in size, burgundy-blue in color. The taste is rich, very similar to Emir or Suzanne to me. Without exaggeration, I will say that in terms of taste, Pompeii is one of the leaders with a harmonious taste. The pulp is dense, crispy, and has a high sugar content; you’ll want to eat these grapes more.
There was no cracking of the berries. The form left the most pleasant impressions. I'm looking forward to the 2024 season to see her in action.
