Observation:
The first fruiting of the new hybrid variety, bred by I.S. Tsurkan and called "Drive," is here. It's definitely a very productive variety. Each shoot bears 2-3 inflorescences, and the harvest begins from the first buds. The berries ripened quite early, on August 10-12, 2025.
The flowers are bisexual, and there are no pea-like flowers. The clusters weigh 600-1000 g at the first fruiting. The color is bright red (I left three clusters until October, and they didn't turn purple). The berries are large, 14-16 g, with a pleasant, varietal-like, light muscat flavor.
No berry cracking was observed. The variety is highly productive and easy to care for. We are conducting further testing on various rootstocks. Frost resistance is being studied.
