Observation:
Apple glow is a new American seedless variety in my collection. The vines are highly vigorous. The canes mature early and along their entire length. It is a high-yielding variety that typically sets two large clusters per shoot. The flowers are perfect (bisexual), and there is no issue with shot berries.
The cluster weighs 600–1,000 g or more. The berries are predominantly oval and yellow, weighing 6–8 g, with some reaching up to 10 g. The flavor is harmonious, and the flesh is firm. Connoisseurs may detect a subtle hint of green apple.
This seedless variety has a mid-season ripening period and high resistance to berry cracking. The fruit can remain on the vine for an extended period without losing its marketability. Based on my observations, its frost resistance is -22°C. I did not observe the promised ultra-high disease resistance (it was claimed that the variety could be grown using organic methods, without chemical fungicides); however, with a standard regimen of 3–4 sprayings per season, the vines remain disease-free. It has a high seedlessness rating: large berries contain two small seed rudiments, while smaller berries qualify for the highest seedlessness class.
