Observation:
A new foreign seedless variety named Maula. It is highly vigorous and high-yielding, producing two clusters per shoot. A distinctive feature is its very early ripening time (ripening just a few days after Javelin).
Maula is a late-budding variety, allowing it to avoid the risk of spring frosts. The berries are large (6–7 g) and elongated-oval in shape. It exhibits a high degree of seedlessness (with only 1–2 small rudiments in the largest berries). The flesh is white and crisp, with an interesting fruity flavor. The juice is red-tinted just beneath the skin.
The vine matures early. High frost resistance is promised—comparable to the Jupiter seedless variety. We will verify these claims, but even at this stage, Maula is notable for its very early ripening and distinctive flavor profile.
