Observation:
The first clusters on a 2026 graft. This variety is highly productive and produces massive flower clusters. Cluster thinning after flowering had to be carried out in three stages, as a fully developed cluster weighs 2 kg or more.
This is a vigorous variety. It has perfect (bisexual) flowers, ensuring consistent pollination without "shot berries" (poor fruit set). The cluster is fairly loose, with a robust stalk. Each shoot sets two clusters weighing 1.5–2 kg or more.
The berries are finger-shaped and range in color from pale pink to red. They measure 50 mm or more in length and weigh 16–18 g. The flesh is meaty and crisp, with a pleasant, harmonious flavor. 'Carolina' loses its acidity early, and the berries are ready for consumption around August 10–15.
The cluster withstood three heavy rains without any berries cracking. It has excellent market appeal, good flavor, and an interesting, loose cluster structure with attractive color and size.
