Observation:
A new Italian sultana variety that we received for testing in 2024. It has very vigorous growth. The vines mature early and throughout their entire length. Ripening time is approximately 110 days (between very early and early).
The yield is high and consistent. From the first buds, the variety produces two inflorescences. Clusters weigh approximately 700 g with short pruning, and 1300-1600 g with long pruning. The flowers are bisexual.
The berries are round, yellow, and weigh 4-5 grams. The flesh is crisp and fleshy. The flavor is pleasantly mildly muscatel. The berries did not crack during heavy rains. Frost resistance is within the range of -23-24 degrees Celsius.
Kishmish Barizana is interesting primarily for its early ripening period + muscat flavor and good yellow color of the berries.
