Observation:
One of the brightest and most memorable positions in 2023. The form is vigorous and productive. First of all, I was impressed by its size. The viburnum berry, while still green, reached more than 18 g. When ripe, a typical berry weighed 20-21 g and measured 38x32 mm. Special attention is paid to the comb stalk, which is thicker than the vine on some varieties) There will be no obvious bending of the stalk.
The color is bright red. I left several bunches until the vineyard was pruned (November), the color did not change and did not turn dark. The taste is light nutmeg with meaty-crispy pulp. I was pleased with the taste; I need to test whether the nutmeg will survive at full load in 2024. The bunch is large, neatly made, weighing 1-1.3 kg.
The flower is bisexual and pollination is excellent. All rain tests passed successfully, not a single cracked berry.
I was delighted with this big red one. I have already put aside the grafting material to add 2 more bushes.
